IMPORTANT NOTICE: Overhead and Underground Construction Project Chesswood - Champagne (W14155)

Toronto Hydro is planning to rebuild the aging overhead and underground electrical system in your community to help improve service reliability. The rebuild includes upgrading overhead and underground electrical cables, replacing hydro poles and transformers within the City of Toronto’s public property allowance in front of or adjacent to your lot.The civil and electrical portions of this project are expected to begin by early February 2017 with an approximate completion date of late January 2018. The project area includes sections of Champagne Drive, Chesswood Drive, Finch Avenue West and Vanley Crescent. Throughout this project, power interruptions may be necessary to switch from the old to the new electrical system and we intend to provide you with advance notice prior to any planned interruptions.Toronto Hydro crews and contractors will take extra care and precautions around your property. Please be advised that as a result of the project, our contractor may be trimming a number of the overgrown trees on the public road allowance in order to accommodate new hydro infrastructure. Also, please note that we may require access to your property to install an underground duct from the property line to the meter base location at your home. Upon project completion, affected areas will be restored.We appreciate your cooperation and ask that you exercise caution around construction areas.
