City Council Updates

Last week we held our first City Council meeting of the year and today Council meets again to discuss the 2024 City Budget.  Last week's Council meeting included the RapidTO plan where Steeles Ave W was added to be considered for bus transit improvements.  As we deal with congestion and moving people through the city, RapidTO works to find ways for people riding transit on buses to move around the city faster and more predictably.  Also at City Council last week, the City is updating the system for red light and speed cameras tickets so that they go through the same process that handles parking tickets.  This will resolve these tickets faster without burdening the court system and eventually allow for placing more speed cameras on our streets to help reduce speeding and keep all road users safe.
