Tour de Black Creek Bike Race & Driftwood Community Festival - Saturday, September 21‏

Join your neighbours for a great day of activities at the Driftwood Community festival!The annual Tour de Black Creek Bike Race features youth aged 10-16 racing along the residential streets of Driftwood Avenue, Jane Street, and Stong Court. There will be 150 youth racers, all having participated in an 8-week healthy lifestyle program and a safety training day during which they learned the rules of the road and safe cycling. At the race the participants receive a bicycle and safety helmet donated by Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart Program. The winning team will be awarded the George Terry Cup in honour of the late Trinidadian-Canadian elite cyclist.The annual Driftwood Community Festival showcases the diverse and vibrant groups that are home to the Driftwood Community Centre. The event features great family fun including sports, games, a youth talent show, and multicultural foods.
