The City is continually updating and maintaining Toronto’s complex underground pipes, sewers and catch basins. Homeowners can also take steps to help prevent their basements from flooding.

Basement Flooding Protection Subsidy Program

The City's Basement Flooding Protection Program is a multi-year program that is helping to reduce the risk of future flooding by making improvements to the City's sewer system and overland drainage routes.
