Free Preventative Dental Program for People with Autism and/or other Developmental and Sensory disabilities
The MukiBaum Accessibility Centre is announcing the introduction of a free two-year preventative dental program for people with autism and/or other developmental and sensory disabilities, funded by Green Shield Canada. The sensory and behavioural challenges experienced by this population often make oral care difficult. This program will address these challenges by providing sensory and behavioural interventions in order to enable participants to undergo dental cleanings and other preventative dental hygiene provided by a mobile hygienist.The program will take place at the MukiBaum Accessibility Centre, located at 401 Magnetic Drive.
