Torontonians Invited to Help TPH Design a New Condom Wrapper for CondomTO 2017

Toronto Public Health is inviting members of the public to design a new condom wrapper for condomTO 2017.Since 2014, condomTO campaigns have showcased condom wrapper designs to coincide with major events in Toronto. Last month, Toronto Public Health launched the latest condom wrapper, featuring the luminous three-dimensional Toronto sign at Nathan Phillips Square that has become an international symbol of Toronto since the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games. The 2016 condom was designed to demonstrate civic pride. For 2017, Toronto Public Health is turning the design over to the public."The positive reaction we've seen to our three campaigns to date has shown us that the people of Toronto are engaged in the topic of safer sex and reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancies," said Dr. Barbara Yaffe, Toronto's Acting Medical Officer of Health. "The condomTO contest will help us build on that success and high level of engagement, especially among young people in our city, as they experience high rates of sexually transmitted infections."The creative strategy and contest design were developed by The&Partnership Canada, which will also create a wrapper design for release next year.
