Reliability Improvement (Project Jane - Yorkwoods)

Toronto Hydro is planning to replace the aging overhead and underground electrical equipment in our community to help improve service reliability. The rebuild includes the installation of new civil infrastructure and the replacement of a hydro pole within the City of Toronto’s public property allowance in front of or adjacent to your lot.The civil and electrical portions of this project are expected to begin by early December 2016 with an approximate completion date of early May 2017. The project area includes a section of Yorkwoods Gate and Jane Street. Throughout this project, power interruptions may be necessary to switch from the old to the new electrical system and we intend to provide you with advance notice prior to any planned interruptions.Toronto Hydro crews and contractors will take extra care and precautions around your property. Please be advised that as a result of the project, our contractor may be trimming a number of the overgrown trees on the public road allowance in order to accommodate new hydro infrastructure.
