Accessing the internet should not be something Torontonians worry about
Last week, we proposed an amendment to the ConnectTO program and received unanimous support from the Council. Access to the internet is not a frivolous luxury and like many things, the price today for the internet is a barrier for many neighbours. The internet is a necessity to stay informed and connected, and creating more affordable options has been tried in other municipalities with great success. We will continue to work on this issue to help build a more accessible City for all of us. Some of this work has started and below you can see a link that directs you to current locations that offer FREE wifi in our area.

Sam Russo Memorial Dedication
Attended the touching Memorial Dedication for Sam Russo this Saturday. A heartfelt tribute to an incredible individual who will always be remembered fondly.
With every year access to the internet becomes less of a luxury and more of a necessity. That is why I moved a motion that explores bringing more affordable internet access through independent providers to residents in the Ward in the not too distant future.
Currently, there are 14 city-operated locations in our ward that offer FREE wifi for you to access. Click here to find the nearest location to you.
Working to Improve Your Neighbourhood
Along with my team and City staff, I will visit local neighbourhoods around the ward to ask for your feedback on the local road resurfacing projects happening on your streets.
Our next meetings will happen on:
- October 25th at St Francis de Sales Catholic School (333 Firgrove Cres) from 6 pm to 7 pm. I am inviting residents from Pelican, Blaney, Picaro, Firgrove, Petiole, and Blossom to join us.
- October 26th at John Booth Memorial Arena (230 Gosford Blvd) from 6 pm to 7 pm. I am inviting residents from Wheelwright, Bimini, Ruthmar, Wheatsheaf, and Stong to join us.
