I moved a motion in Council for Affordable Internet Access

Accessing the internet should not be something Torontonians worry about

Friend--

Last week, we proposed an amendment to the ConnectTO program and received unanimous support from the Council. Access to the internet is not a frivolous luxury and like many things, the price today for the internet is a barrier for many neighbours. The internet is a necessity to stay informed and connected, and creating more affordable options has been tried in other municipalities with great success. We will continue to work on this issue to help build a more accessible City for all of us. Some of this work has started and below you can see a link that directs you to current locations that offer FREE wifi in our area.

In this newsletter, you can find:

Sincerely,

City Councillor

ConnectTO Program Update: City Assets for Efficiency and Connectivity

With every year access to the internet becomes less of a luxury and more of a necessity. That is why I moved a motion that explores bringing more affordable internet access through independent providers to residents in the Ward in the not too distant future.

Currently, there are 14 city-operated locations in our ward that offer FREE wifi for you to access. Click here to find the nearest location to you.

Working to Improve Your Neighbourhood

Along with my team and City staff, I will visit local neighbourhoods around the ward to ask for your feedback on the local road resurfacing projects happening on your streets.
