On June 13th, it was an absolute joy to celebrate breaking ground on a brand new Community Centre coming to our Ward! I was joined by Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow, City of Toronto staff, and esteemed dignitaries.
The net-zero building will feature an incredible array of amenities, including a six-lane, 25-metre lap pool, leisure pool and a classroom to teach aquatic programs a childcare centre designed to accommodate up to 62 children, a teaching kitchen, an art studio, social amphitheatre, multi-sport gymnasium, walking track, fitness studios, community spaces, a multi-media space and STEM and computer labs.
I look forward to watching as this beautiful project benefitting folks of all ages comes to life in the coming years.
